We lost our son to violence this past January, so I feel particularly heartsick over this event. It is incomprehensible. My husband & I will keep all of you at VT in our prayers. We do know that those who have passed are now in a better place. But, selfishlessly, we wish they were still here with us now. God bless.

Our family is praying for all of you. God bless you and your families.
My 10 year old daughter wrote this poem, dedicated to all the victims:
“The Dead”
The dead should be respected
That is why I wrote this poem
We sometimes want to laugh at
What this person did
But don’t
They’re dead
It’s over
Don’t fret
It’s fine
Most of them are alive
In our hearts
And our minds
Respect the dead
And all the others.

As I thank god for knowing how my child is and knowing where he is brings joy to my life. But on April 16,2007 not knowing about the other children that was harmed and could have been harmed my heart pours out to you all. I hope and pray that one simple gesture of kindness can go a long way during the emtional stress that the families of the victim and the virginia tech families are going through. I will pray for you all and I want to say I love you all.

My heart goes out to all of the families, students & faculty who have been affected in so many ways by yesterdays tragedy. Loss is never easy. Having lost a family member in the war in Iraq I know all too well about the pain you must feel. I have heard things being said about the gunmans race, lets not let the act of one person depict all. To quote Ghandi"Be the good we want to see in the world” God Bless all of you I will pray each night for all of you

I only knew Brian Bluhm online, but that little connection I did have with him was a great one. Brian was a fellow member on Motownsports.com, a Detroit Tigers discussion board, and I just loved seeing his passion for the baseball team he loved.
I know I will miss his presence and his insight to the sport of baseball, as will many others.

I enjoyed the convocation today and comforting words from faculty, staff and President Bush. Thanks for doing something that honors our loved ones that was meaningful and appropriate.
I thought the comments from the woman who rallied the crowd into “Let’s go Hokies” was inappropriate, offensive and inconsiderate.

You re in our thoughts - my neice is a former pupil and I visited the campus a couple of years ago - it is hard to comprehend why such things happen and hope your community will heal and move on. I can’t believe something like this could happen to us. It’s unbelievable.
I’m only 14 and its hurt home really hard since my close family friend goes there but thankfuly he’s safe.
It’s really hard to wake up and turn on the news and to see all this talk about this shooting that happened in Virginia. And especially since I live so close to Virginia Tech.
I don’t think I have ever been effected this much by a school shooting. I’ve cried so many times and it weighs my heart heavy to know that there are families and friends out there that have lost someone so important to them and that they’ll never see them again.
It truely is a terrible, terrible tragidy. My heart goes out to all the families and friends who have lost someone. I pray that they’ll find a way to get through this incident and that we all will find a way to get through this.
