Election Day 2012 - I’m having mixed emotions because my Dad’s vote today is being cast by his grandson and I’m still grieving his loss. However, it is with great pride that this parent has passed on the excitement and enthusiasm associated with the civic responsibility of voting - a life lesson taught at her childhood dinner table. Take time to vote today, visit with your neighbors while waiting to register your opinion, and take along your children. In a blink of an eye, they will be standing alongside of you for the very first time with their voter registration cards in their hands eager to cast their ballots.
