Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Change of Command Ceremony 2008

The Change of Command Parade highlights many corps traditions as the outgoing class of 2008 turns over the reins of command to the incoming command class of 2009.

The reviewing officials for the 2008 parade were Virginia Tech President Charles W. Steger, Vice-President for Student Affairs Zenobia Hikes, Commandant of Cadets Major General Jerry Allen, the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Staffs, and cadet parents.

During the ceremony, the regimental standard was passed to incoming commander Cadet Colonel Adnan Barqawi of Kuwait City, Kuwait. Barqawi is a rising senior who is majoring in accounting and information systems in the Pamplin College of Business.
