DARwIn conducts the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Chorus

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performed at Squires Student Center’s Haymarket Theatre in December 2008.

As part of the performance, DARwIn, a robot constructed in Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering RoMeLa (Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory), under the supervision of director Dennis Hong, was scheduled to conduct.

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra is the largest professional orchestra in Virginia west of Richmond.
